When it comes to furnaces, some brands just seem to be a cut above the rest. Whether you’re looking at a home furnace or a commercial furnace, carrier is one of those brands that people tend to associate with quality, and with good reason. Willis Carrier made his mark on the world of heating and cooling in 1902 when he invented air conditioning—if that doesn’t give somebody a good name in the business, nothing will. These days, the Carrier furnace comes in a variety of types that each display a level of efficiency and technological advancement that would have made Willis Carrier proud.

Comfort Series Furnaces
The hallmark of the Comfort Series from Carrier is efficiency. This line of gas furnaces can provide up to 90 percent annual fuel utilization efficiency (AFUE), making it the common choice for people looking to save money on their energy bills as well as the cost of their furnace. This is a great series for someone who wants a Carrier furnace but doesn’t have the budget for a high-end system.

Performance Series Furnaces
The performance series is a higher level of furnace, providing quiet comfort with multi-speed blower technology. The Performance 96 and Boost 90 models both have Energy Star qualification and are compatible with a Hybrid Heat System, allowing you to save money through smart heating technology. With a sharp-looking cabinet, sound-dampening technology and a reputation for dependable longevity, the Performance series gives customers more bang for their buck.

Infinity Series Gas Furnaces
The infinity series from Carrier is their ultimate line of gas furnaces, both condensing and non-condensing. Some of the best in this line include Greenspeed intelligence, which not only gives you top-of-the-line comfort, but also excellent economy, as well. These quiet furnaces (as quiet as the Performance series, if not more so) have the “Most Efficient” qualification from Energy Star. Some models within the series feature variable-speed blower technology and a two-stage gas valve to help provide efficiency and comfort. Comfort Fan technology helps to provide good airflow with whisper-quiet operation. One of the greatest advantages of the Infinity series is the ability to achieve very precise temperature control and even humidity control (when the system is equipped to do so).
