The truth is, 2013 has been an amazing year for Bollywood and many of the top films brought in a lot of money. In Bollywood, money is what talks but for average viewers, that isn’t necessarily the case. Movies can also be ranked based on reviews from viewers…and this is exactly what the following list shows. Here are the top 10 Bollywood movies of 2013 based on viewer ratings:

10 – Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani just makes it into the top 10 of 2013. Starring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles of the film, audiences really loved this romantic comedy. It also is the 4th highest grossing Bollywood film, ever.

9- Ramleela

Some stories never get old and Ramleela, a 2013 film based on ‘Romeo and Juliet’ is a great example. This film stars Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. Though quite violent, moviegoers rated this one highly.

8 – Krrish 3

This is a great example of films making a lot of money, yet falling short when viewer reviews come in. Though Krrish 3 was the highest grossing film in 2013, viewers like other films much better.

7 – Vishwaroopam

The film Vishwaroopam was also a fan favourite as well as a film that got a lot of critical acclaim. Kamal Haasan wrote, directed, produced and starred in this film.

6 – Raanjhnaa

The romantic comedy, Raanjhnaa, also had Bollywood fans cheering. The film made a decent amount of money and critics and fans both agreed that this was a film to catch soon after it was released in June.

5 – Aashiqui 2

No list of top films of 2013 would be complete without the addition of Aashiqui 2. Starring Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapur in the lead roles, this film also had a very popular soundtrack.

4 – Kai Po Che!

Indian viewers loved Kai Po Che! though reviewers throughout the world didn’t necessarily agree. The film, a buddy movie, starred Sushant Singh Rajput, Rajkummar Rao and Amit Sadh.

3 – Dhoom 3

Though Dhoom 3 made a lot of money, over 200 crore, it still wasn’t enough to get it to the number one spot as far as viewers were concerned.

2 – Bhaag Milkha Bhaag

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, a film based on the life story of Milkha Singh, was definitely one that caught the hearts of filmgoers in 2013…however, one film was able to rise above.

1 – Special Chabbis

Also known as Special 26, this film was the top choice among viewers in 2013. Starring Akshay Kumar and Kajal Aggarwal, this thriller kept fans on the edge of their seats.
