Cold storage wall panels and insulation are a necessity in order to maintain an appropriate temperature in refrigerator and freezer systems. All industrial refrigeration panels should provide great thermal execution and prevent air leakage.
Refrigeration Panels
Industrial refrigeration walls are typically constructed from metal insulated panels which contain a variety of metal laminates. These panels need to be capable of controlling bacteria, grease, and dust.
Panel Styles
Refrigeration wall panels provide bold upright lines courtesy to almost any commercial or industrial building. Inverted ribs in the contour improve the high-tech industrialized appearance. This kind of wall panel is the endorsed profile for the outside of cold storage buildings.
Other styles of cold storage wall panels include inverted rib, minor rib, smooth, shadow line, high rib wall.
These walls also come in a variety of different skins such as galvalume, G 90 galvanized steel, painted G 90 galvanized steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
Insulation
There are two particular insulation materials currently used in walk-in coolers and freezers. These materials are also very beneficial when used with industrial refrigeration panels in California.
Extruded polystyrene is insulation that has a high initial R-value and a good moisture resistance. This insulation also has the ability to retain around 47 percent of its R-value over the life of the product.
Polyurethane is amid numerous other things used as packing foam and in the assembly of walk through outside residential and commercial doors. It has a high initial R-value but is less than capable of moisture resistance and R-value preservation. It is only able to retain around 19 percent of its primary R-value over the life of the product. Polyurethane has been effectively used in the manufacturing development of walk-in coolers and freezers for many years.
