Ceramic tile is a popular choice among home renovators for various projects. It will be much easier to complete your task if you have the best tile cutting tools at your disposal. Ceramic tile may be delicate, with even the tiniest chips affecting the entire aesthetic of the tile. You must be cautious when cutting ceramic tiles and apply the proper techniques.

Using a Glass Tile Cutter
A glass cutter may be an affordable and one of the most efficient tile cutting tools you can buy if you simply need to make basic cuts on a few tiles. Using a straightedge or carpenter’s square as a reference, measure and score the tile in this technique. Then, on a level surface, set the scored tile on a wire hanger and press down on both sides of the tile to break it in half.

Using a Wet Saw
A wet saw is one of the most effective ceramic floor tile cutting tools for larger tasks or more intricate corner cuts. If you plan to do many similar jobs, buying one might be a good investment. When using a wet saw, read the manufacturer’s instructions carefully and observe all safety measures.

To cut a tile with a wet saw, feed the tile onto the blade glazed side up, using both hands while keeping your fingertips away from the blade. For safe use of a wet saw, turn off the saw once the tile has cleared the blade and allow the blade to stop completely before removing the tile.
